Peace Committee meet held in Rajouri : Arrangements of Independence Day and Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra Discussed

RAJOURI AUGUST 04:–Additional Director General of Police Jammu zone, Mukesh Singh and Divisional Commissioner Jammu Romesh Kumar alongwith DIG Rajouri Poonch range Dr. Haseeb Mughal on Friday held a civil society peace committee meeting in Rajouri.

The meeting was organised in Dak Bungalow Rajouri with District Development Council Chairman Naseem Liyaqit, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal, Senior Superintendent of Police Amritpal Singh, other officers of civil and police administration, civil society members, political leaders, social activists were present in the meeting.

A threadbare discussion was held in the meeting on range of issues with participating civil society members put forth a number of issues, suggestions with officers chairing the meeting hailed the constructive approach of civil society members towards peaceful situation.

The officers also discussed arrangements for Independence Day celebration and upcoming Baba Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra calling for cooperation of civil society for smooth conduct of both these important events.
All the members irrespective of their groups and party affiliation assured for full cooperation in maintaining peace and tranquility in the region.

Both ADG Jammu zone and Divisional Commissioner Jammu later also reviewed arrangements for both Independence Day and Baba Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra .
