Director Health Services visit Rajouri, chairs review meeting

RAJOURI, JULY 26:–Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sharma during his daylong visit to Rajouri district, chaired a review meeting at the office of the Chief Medical Officer and also visited the site at Lamberi where the Maternal and Child Health Hospital is coming up.
The review meeting at the CMO office was attended by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri, Dr. Rajinder Kumar; Deputy CMO; District Tuberculosis Officer; District Immunisation Officer; MS, and all the Block Medical Officers.
The physical and financial status of Centrally Sponsored Schemes, the status of Audit Paras, the status of construction work, and the staff position were among the main issues discussed and reviewed at the meeting.
Director Health Services Jammu gave on-spot directions to all present to put in efforts to achieve targets laid down under each program.
DHS, Dr. Rajeev Kumar also laid stress on NCD Screening and gave directions to boost IEC activities under CSS.
He, accompanied by CMO, Dr. Rajinder Kumar also visited the construction site for the Maternal and Child Health Hospital at Lamberi.
Dr. Rajeev Kumar directed CMO Rajouri to monitor the progress of work at the construction site on a regular basis and instruct the construction agency to expedite the process of completion of work in the stipulated time.
Meanwhile, as per reports, Director Health Services has expressed his displeasure over MLPHs failure to conduct population survey. He directed the concerned to stop salaries of all the MLPHs & also passed directions for terminations of their contractual appointments.
