In Rajouri 933 houses completed under PMAY-U against 2155 targeted.

RAJOURI, JULY 07:–In the Rajouri district, 933 houses have been completed to date under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yo jana – Urban (PMAY-U) out of construction of targeted 2155 houses under this scheme.
This was disclosed by the concerned officials/officers in a review meeting held here at Rajouri which was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, IAS.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Khurshid and Executive Officers from the Municipal Committees and Rajouri Municipal Council.
The meeting was informed that against the target of constructing 2155 houses under the scheme, the construction of 933 houses has been completed in all respects.
The DDC asked the concerned authorities to adopt a mission-oriented approach to the successful implementation of the housing scheme.
The officials were directed to put in dedicated efforts to meet the set targets.
The meeting also underscored the significance of using quality materials in the construction of houses.
The DDC made it clear that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard. The progress under PMAY-U is a step towards realizing the goal of providing affordable housing for all.
