RAJOURI, JUNE 23:–Four members of the families of the Dhangri massacre of Rajouri district, in which 2 minor cousins were among 7 civilians killed in terror attacks on January 1 & 2, on Friday met with Home Minister, Amit Shah at Raj Bhawan during his two-day visit to UT of J&K.
The families are demanding justice for their innocent family members, who become victims of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, and also expressed their resentment against no action against those who provided logistic support to the perpetrators of the Dhangri terror attack even after 6 months of the incident.
It is pertinent to mention here that the case was handed over to NIA by the Home Minister and about a week ago, NIA team met with the families of the victims at Rajouri and informed them about the progress in this case.
On June 13, members of the families of Dhangri victims held a massive protest demanding the identification and arrest of the culprits behind the attack and blocked the Jammu-Poonch highway for about 8 hours.
Saroj Bala (her two sons were killed in the Dhangri massacre on January 1) gave a fortnight time for identification & action against the facilitators of the terror attack and said: “If failed then they will approach the Prime Minister through proper channels”.
The members of victims’ families who met the Home Minister today at Jammu include Saroj Bala(who lost her two sons in the terror attack & is the -only survivor in the family); Sushil Kumar & his wife (their 4-year-old son Vihan was killed), and Pawan Kumar (his brother ex-serviceman Satish Kumar was killed).
Saroj Bala and others, who met the Home Minister, also demanded Narco analysis of 1-2 locals who according to them had helped the terrorists.
After meeting with the survivors of the Rajouri (Dhangri) terror attacks Union Home Minister in a Tweet said: “Their courage and bravery are India’s pillars of strength in ending the menace of terrorism. I extended my condolences & assured them of government support”.
According to the victim’s family members, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah assured to visit them in Rajouri in the future & also assure to solve the case at the earliest
