Army foils infiltration bid in Machhal sector killed 4 terrorists.Another infiltration bid foiled in Poonch, details awaited.

RAJOURI, JUNE 23:–Within a week’s time, alert Indian troops foiled the second major infiltration bid in the Kupwara district )and killed four terrorists in the Kala Jungle area of the Machhal sector on Friday.
On June 16, five terrorists were eliminated by the alert Indian troops in the Keran sector of the Kupwara district in a foiled infiltration bid.
Meanwhile, according to unconfirmed reports army foiled another infiltration bid in the Poonch sector at about 10 pm on Friday, and as per initial report one soldier was injured while 2-3 terrorists were in the cordon and at the time of filing this report firefight was going on.
Defence spokesman said that on the intervening night of June 22 & 23 alert troops of the Indian Army detected suspicious movement in the general area Kala Jungle along the Line of Control in Machhal Sector.
Ambushes were sited and tracking of the terrorist movement was carried out during the night.
“At around 4.30 am on Friday, four terrorists were observed crossing the line of control from Pakistan. They were engaged upon coming in effective range by the Ambush parties. Intense firefights ensued, resulting in the elimination of all four terrorists without any harm to own troops,” said Army.
The recovery of large amount of war-like stores, including substantial narcotics material to be used for terror funding, indicates the vicious plan of Pakistan by utilising the terrorists to derail the existing peace in Kashmir Valley. This successful operation is a big blow to the Narco funding & terror plans of the terrorists,” Army added.
The recoveries include 9 AK series rifles; 14 magazines, 4 hand grenades, 3 Pistols with 5 magazines, & 55 suspected Narco packets.
