DC Rajouri inspects examination center for admissions to EMRSs

RAJOURI, JUNE 11:–Out of 756 students, who have applied for admission ian two Ekalavya Model Residential schools (EMRSs) running in the Rajouri district, 738 appeared in the entrance test for admission toEklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS).
The entrance test was held at Government Post Graduate (PG) College in Rajouri on Sunday and
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal paid a surprise visit to PG College to inspect the ongoing entrance test for admission of students to Ekalavya Model Residential schools at Gurdhanballa (Rajouri), and at Hubbi (in Kotranka sub-district).
The entrance test for EMRS was being conducted as per the previous year’s practice and this year only one center, with three sub-centers, was set up at Government PG College Rajouri.
As many as 756 students had applied for the exam of which only 738 took the test.
During the visit, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri interacted with the examination staff and inquired about the arrangements made for the smooth conduct of the examination.
He also interacted with the students and wished them luck in their future endeavours.
The Ekalavya Model Residential schools are an initiative of the government to provide an education to the students belonging to the tribal communities.
These schools provide free education, accommodation, and other basic facilities to the students.
