Northern Army Commander reviewed operational preparedness twice in 4 days at Rajouri.; Massive search operations continues on 6th day to trace & eliminate the perpetrators

RAJOURI, APRIL 26:–On Wednesday Northern Army commander, Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi during his 2nd visit to Rajouri & Poonch districts within 4 days after the terror attack on Army’s vehicle in the Poonch district, reviewed operational preparedness at forward location and also took stock of ongoing operations against the terrorists.
Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi also visited a Company Operating base at remote location and interacted with troops and applauded them for their sustained efforts & good work.
Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi during his tour visited Rajouri & Poonch sectors along with GOCs of Infantry Division and Counter Insurgency Romeo Force and reviewed operational preparedness.
The security and operational preparedness review twice in four days at Rajouri and Poonch districts by Northern Army Commander is seen as an indication of major possible action against the Pakistan-sponsored terror network in the near future.

Meanwhile, Security Forces, including Special Forces, have intensified their search operations in Bhata Dhurian and adjoining areas to trace & eliminate the perpetrators involved in an attack on Army truck in which five Bravehearts attained martyrdom and one was injured.
Between 40 -50 suspects, including those who had provided shelter & logistical support to the terrorists and Over Ground Workers (OGWs), have been rounded up by the SFs for questioning.
If media reports are to be believed, one among the detained persons has admitted to having provided shelter for two months to the terrorists involved in Army truck attack and also has provided support to them in this attack.
But this information was not authenticated by the senior police officer(s) here at Rajouri.
Immediately after the attack on the Army truck, SFS launched a massive search operation in the entire area and were later joined by the Special Forces.
But, till Wednesday evening no contact was established either with the terrorists involved in the attack or with other groups operating in Rajouri-Poonch district.
Experts, including from NIA and National Security Guard (NSG), visited the terror attack spot and it was believed that first a terrorist opened fire with a sniper rifle from the front to stop the vehicle, and subsequently others lobbed grenades either from behind and fired on both the sides of the truck using steel core bullets.
