Chairperson DDC inaugurates District Court Post Office Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 29: The District Court Udhampur Post Office, which falls under Udhampur Postal Division, was inaugurated by District Development Council Chairman, Lal Chand and Deputy Commissioner, Krittika Jyotsna.

The Chairperson of the District Development Council said that the post office will now serve customers in a better way and provide a customer-friendly atmosphere. The general public of the area was congratulated for the opening of the post office.

The District Court Udhampur Post Office was temporarily shifted to the Udhampur Head Post Office Complex some years back due to non-availability of accommodation. With the help of the district administration, the post office has been made functional at its original place. The District Administration provided all support, including rent-free accommodation. The nearby public and offices will benefit immensely from the different services provided by the post office.

The ceremony was also attended by Superintendent of Post Division Udhampur, GM Shah and Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghani Shyam Singh besides other district officers.
