KUPWARA MARCH 19:–On 18th of March  on a busy Saturday afternoon, the Indian Army once again showed their compassion for civilian safety when they helped douse flames that had engulfed a residence in Khumriyal Panchayat of the Kalaroos block.

Quick Reaction Teams along with Fire-fighting Truck of 41 RR launched themselves into action to help firefighters in bringing the blaze under control. With utter disregard for personal safety, one team leaped into the house to retrieve the personal belongings as others joined the fire-fighting operations. Together, they ensured that the adjoining houses were not caught in the fire.

The army team also undertook relief operations, first aid and provided essential items and tentage to those who had been affected by the fire. The prompt action ensured that there was no loss of life in the incident. The bravery and dedication to duty shown by the troops of 41 RR was highly appreciated by the locals, strengthening the ‘Jawan-Awaam’ connect.
