Deep Raj, laid foundation stone of School Building at High School Bhathindi ; Samvidhan Divas celebrated -Message of Liberty, equality and fraternity shared.

JAMMU NOVEMBER 26:–Today, the Project Director Samagra Shiksha J&K Er. Deep Raj laid the foundation stone for the Construction of 4 roomed building along with a Hall & toilet bocks at HS Bhathindi. There are more than 550 Children presently getting education in the said School, due to insufficient accommodation, there always remain issues, informed the Headmistress of the school Mrs. Waheeda Chowdhary. Project Director Samagra Shiksha while interacting with the Media, informed that the building shall be constructed under Centrally sponsored Scheme Samagra Shiksha with the estimated Cost of Rs. 56.00 Lacs, along with the Construction of Hall with estimated cost of Rs. 24.50 Lacs. He said that increasing the capacity of essential building infrastructure, is vital to ensure our children to continue to learn in a safe, welcoming environment for years to come. *He also said that Samagra Shiksha, under the aegis of School Education Department headed by Principal Secretary Alok Kumar, IRS is committed to provide all basic facilities to the students which will bring them at par with the students of Private schools.
He further said that, this year under Samagra Shiksha, the new school building, Art and craft room, Science Lab, Laboratories, computer room and toilet complexes are being provided to the schools with the approved cost of Rs. 236 Crores. *During 2022-23, sufficient funds shall be utilized for the upgradation of Infrastructure in the schools.* On the occasion while taking review of the existing facilities of the school he assured Headmaster that funds to the tune of Rs. 2.00 lacs shall be released for the upgradation of Dilapidated Kitchen Shed and Rs. 1.00 Lac for repair/renovation of Toilets in the Schools.
As a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the *Project Director also participated in the celebrations of the Constitution Day-Samvidhan Divas and elaborated the importance of the day.* He said that, Constitution Day is an opportunity for us to celebrate our constitution and take pride in its history and abide by it. It is also a time for us to reaffirm our commitment to upholding the principles of the constitution, which shall ensure that India remains a strong and vibrant democracy.
*Mr. Bilal Rashid, Deputy Director Planning Samagra Shiksha* read the preamble of the constitution and all the participants including the Students, their parents, Teachers, Local representatives of the area and other dignitaries participated in pledge taking ceremony. He also appreciated the efforts of the School authorities especially Headmistress Mrs. Shahida Manhas, Mrs. Farhat Mir, Mrs. Sanum Khan, who actively followed up for the new building and upgradation of infrastructure.
Mr. Shokat Ali, Corporator also spoke on the occasion and thanked the administration and School Education Department* for redressal of their issues. Ajeet Sharma, Coordinator, Sajjad Ahmed, Mudassir Ahmed, Assistant Coordinators, Sarpanch of the area, Naib Sarpanch, Lambardar and prominent citizens of the area participated in the event. The allotment copy of the contract was also handed over to the Contractor Mr. Akram Ali.
