Rajouri Police recover 45 grams Heroine; arrests 01 peddler

RAJOURI NOVEMBER 02:–Containing it’s action under Anti Drugs drive, Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri arrested a peddler recovering a consignment of Heroine like substance from his possession.

In an official statement, police said that acting on the specific input of narcotics smuggling, a police team of Police Station Nowshera headed by SHO Nowshera Rajesh Jasrotia established a special naka along with concerned Executive Magistrate in Rajpur Bhatta area of PS Nowshera.

The alert naka party observed suspect namely Liaqat Hussain son of Mohd Mir resident of Androoth Qila Darhal of District Rajouri.

The accused was credibly suspected to be carrying some narcotics to sell among localite youth in the area who was approaching towards the naka party.

While passing through the Naka, the suspect was signalled to stop and searched in presence of Executive Magistrate.

Upon Search 45 grams of contraband Smack ( Back Tar Heroin) like substance was recovered from his possession.

On this, case FIR No. 245/2022 U/S. 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in P/S Nowshera and investigation set into motion.

The overall operation was carried out by police party headed by Insp Rajesh Jasrotia assisted by PSI Arun Singh and PSI Vikas Khullar under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Tussif Ahmed
