22 projects to develop tourist destinations reflected in 2019-20 Plan

Rajouri, 26 April: In order to review the developmental works being executed under Tourism Sector, District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz today convened a meeting in his office chamber with the concerned officers.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sher Singh, Xen RDA Rajesh Gupta, Accounts Officer Liaqat Mehmood, Assistant Director Tourism Sheena Saini and other officers of the tourism department.

The DDC took detailed physical and financial stock of various works being executed by the department which include Ram and Gadi Mata Mandir at Nowshera,Shahid Qila Darhal, Chani Prat Temple, Development of Ziarat at Nagoon, Development of park at Jawaharnagar, development of Gurudwara at Dalian in Nowshera, Hot Spring at Dhantitop, Park at Bathian, Religious Circuit under BADP at Birbadveshwar and others similar projects..
XEN RDA Rajesh Gupta informed the chair that there are total 22 projects to develop the potential tourist spots undertaken by RDA in the district out of which 14 are ongoing and rest are on due scales where work will be started shortly. The projects would be completed at an estimated cost of 1.65 crores.
Under PMDP the Rajouri development Authority has under taken the development of tourist facilities at Rajouri-Nature park thandikassi, Development of tourist facilities at hot spring tatapani,tourist facilities around rajouri qila danti top and development of tourist facilities at Nowshera midway.The works have been started and are in different phases of execution.

While taking stock of different works, the DDC directed the concerned officers for strict adherence to completion time of all projects. He stressed for maintaining quality of work in the execution of these works.
He said that he will personally monitor all these works.

The department has been directed to speed up the pace of work so that all the projects started will be completed this year only.DDC exhorted upon all the officers to work in tandem so that desired outcomes could be achieved well in time.
