RAJOURI, OCTOBER 30:—-The beginning of 2nd phase of Back to Village 4 (B2V4) on Sunday evokes an enthusiastic response from the general public across 94 Panchayats across the Rajouri district.
Multifarious activities, including inspection of government establishments, AWCs, schools, banks, sports activities, discussion on Nasha Mukt Bharat, the conduct of Panchayat level convergence meeting, review of the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, etc, were carried out during the day in the presence of deputed officers who reached the Panchayats allotted to them.
The deputed officers also held interactions with the sarpanches, panches, and the general public, who brought forth a wide range of genuine and specific grievances and developmental requirements of their areas.
The visiting officers documented all the grievances projected during the day and assured them of the early redressal of their genuine issues and demands.
Under the government’s unique initiative ‘Back to Village’ program Phase IV (B2V4), special focus was made to take the administration to the doorsteps of rural masses.
On the first day of the 2nd phase of the program, Principal Secretary, PWD (R&B), Shailendra Kumar, on Sunday visited Patrara Panchayat of Rajouri district as a visiting officer.
Village Patrara is being developed under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) with the implementation of several Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
Officers who were present during the event included DDC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal; ADDC, Pawan Kumar; DDC Member Sunderbani, Rajinder Sharma; BDC Sunderbani, Arun Sharma; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ACD, Vijay Kumar; DMO, Naseeb Bajrang and officials of different departments.
Shailendra Kumar inspected stalls set up by different departments and also interacted with the people and PRI representatives & listened to their grievances and demands, including augmentation of water and power supply, improvement in health and education system, better road connectivity etcetera.
Other issues raised include the implementation of Ladli Beti scheme, construction of roads from Hathal to Bhatathara and from Hathal to Bagnotigala, scarcity of water, shortage of electric wires and poles etcetera.
Shailendra Kumar assured the participants that all their issues and concerns would be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal.
He also reviewed the implementation of various welfare schemes and programs launched by the government in the Panchayat & asked the officers to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reaches each beneficiary of the Panchayat.
Shailendra Kumar urged the members of Pani Samitis to work actively for the successful implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission.
“Providing all basic facilities to the common masses at their doorsteps is the topmost priority of the UT administration. The government is committed to ensuring all round and holistic development of rural areas” said Shailendra Kumar.
He urged upon the officers, PRIs, and field functionaries of different departments to educate and motivate the public to avail the benefits of various schemes launched by the government for people’s welfare.
Shailendra Kumar exhorted the people to take the optimum benefit of the government’s online services for transparency and accountability in the public delivery system.
Taking a dig into drug abuse, he asked the officers to make dedicated efforts to make Rajouri a drug-free district with people’s cooperation.
Shailendra Kumar also asked the officers to educate people/ youth about the government’s self-employment generation schemes/programs.
He asked the concerned officer to make the youth club operational at the earliest in Patrara Panchyat and also distributed land passbooks among landowners and facilitated girls with kits under BBBP.
He planted a sapling of Araucaria plant at high school under ‘Har Gaon Haryali’ initiative and also visited the medical sub-center at Patrara being constructed by the PWD(R&B) at an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh.
