Weekly Block Diwas: DDC Rajouri presides over public outreach camp at Lam, Qila Darhal ; Stressed on timely & quality disposal of genuine public concerns

RAJOURI, AUGUST 03:– Deepening further the massive outreach initiative of the District Administration, the District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today chaired a public grievances redressal camp at border area Lam of block Qila Darhal.

SSP, Mohd Aslam; DDC Member Nowshera, Manohar Singh; BDC Qila Darhal, Khalid Firdos, ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt and other District and sectoral officers attended the event.

During the event, the public and their representatives projected scores of issues and demands of their areas including macadamization of roads, better health services, upgradation of schools, erection of BSNL tower, scarcity of water etc.

Officers of different departments also highlighted a number of schemes being implemented in the district and motivated the public to avail the benefits of the same. They also responded to the queries raised by the public during the event.

DDC gave a patient hearing to all the issues and demands projected on the occasion and assured them of quality and timely redressal of all the genuine concerns.

Addressing the event, the DDC said that the District Administration is striving hard to take the district towards development by utilizing its potential in different sectors and all possible measures are being taken to provide the Govt services at the doorsteps of the general public.

Saying that the District Administration is committed to ensure transparency and accountability in its functioning, he also said concrete measures are being taken to make Govt services more transparent and easily accessible to the public.

While highlighting a number of measures being taken by the Govt to strengthen the grass root institutions, he said that the Govt is committed to strengthen the grass root institutions and a number of measures are being taken in this regard.

He also urged the PRIs to play a crucial role in the development of their areas and ensure that all the developmental works being executed in their respective jurisdictions are completed within the set times while adhering to quality parameters.

Referring to scores of self employment generation schemes being implemented under mission youth and others, the DDC urged the youth to avail themselves of the benefits of the same.

While highlighting varied online services of different departments, he said that the Govt has launched various online services to ease the public delivery system and urged the public to avail themselves of the benefits of the same.

Replying to the issue of scarcity of water, he said that all of the households of the district shall be covered under tapped water connection with the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission.

He also issued on the spot directions to the concerned officers to take cognizance of the issues pertaining to their departments.
