Police Station Kralgund seizes 02 tractors for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals

HANDWARA:– In its continous drive against illegal mining, extraction and transportation of minerals from Government land, Handwara Police siezed two tractors and apprehended 02 persons in two different FIRs for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Ananwan and Sheikhnar areas.

In this relation Case FIR Nos. 55/2022 and 56/2022 under sections 188,447 IPC respectively stands registered in Police station Kralgund and investigation set into motion.

All members of the public are urged in public interest to adhere to the law and the terms and conditions of their permits, wherever applicable, and to not destroy the ecology of their areas by engaging in illicit mining of minerals.
