DDC Rajouri inspects major developmental works Oldand New Bus Stands Rajouri to get macadamised

Superstructure of Hamilton Bridge to be launched

Rajouri, April 16: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today inspected the major developmental works and reviewed the physical and financial achievements of the projects being executed in district.
The projects so inspected hold significance for strengthening of sports infrastructure in district road sectors and to raise the standard of living of specially-abled persons.

DDC inspected the indoor sports complex, the main hall, changing rooms. On the occasion, students and sportsmen met the DDC and demanded extension of ground as the space for playing is not sufficient, the requirement of mats and construction of durable pitch for playing.

DDC said the DPR for the extension has already been submitted for approval, regarding the construction of pitch he directed the members of the sports council to start the work on it and directed the District Youth services and sports officer to provide the playing mat immediately.

DDC assured that it is our endeavor to provide quality sports facilities in the district and we are making every effort in this regard and also assured every possible help to the budding sports talent of the district.
While inspecting the indoor stadium it was informed that the work is in progress and will be completed within the shortest possible time.DDC also directed to chalk out the strategy for the parking of vehicles in the stadium.

The work on the construction of a sports stadium was approved in languishing projects with an estimated cost of INR 5.52 cores.

The DDC also inspected the pace of work on skill development center for the specially- abled persons. He said that the facility would enable persons with special needs to learn vocational skills for earning a dignified livelihood. Based on the individual need, training would be given to especially- abled persons. The work is being executed by REW and it is in the final stage of completion.DDC also asked the concerned executing agency to submit a DPR related to beautification of the open space in front of the Skill Development center.

The DDC also inspected the work on Hamilton Bridge being executed by PWD at a cost of 5.40 crores including the approaching road. DDC directed the XEN PWD to expedite the progress and complete it in the stipulated time, as this bridge holds greater significance in connecting people of Manjakote area with the bus stand Rajouri.

The DDC also inspected the work on the mini sports stadium Rajouri. This project is being executed by the REW. It was informed that the work is almost complete and it would be ready for inauguration within a couple of days.
