RAJOURI, JUNE 17:–BMO Kandi (Kotranka) Health Block in Rajouri district has stopped one month’s salary of doctors/paramedical staff under RBSK for non-compliance of a government order to mark their attendance at CHC Kotranka before moving for field duties.
Vide BMO, Kandi order No. BMO/K/Adm/2022-23/441-50 dt 14/6/2022, doctors and paramedical staff of two teams working under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) in the Kandi Health Block were directed to mark their daily attendance at Community Health Center at Kotranka before moving for their duties in the fields.
Dr. Iqbal Malik, Block medical officer (BMO) Kandi on Thursday observed that no employee working under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) marked their attendance and violated the order.
Keeping in view the non-compliance of the order, BMO has withheld their one-month salary and directed them to immediately comply with the given directions.
“Any non-compliance of the order by the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) staff shall invite disciplinary action as per rules,” said Dr. Iqbal Malik, BMO.
Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) is one of its kind program to improve the overall quality of life of children enabling all children to achieve their full potential.
RBSK involves screening of children from birth to 18 years of age for 4 Ds i.e. defects at birth, diseases, deficiencies, and development delays, spanning 32 common health conditions for early detection and free treatment and management, including surgeries at tertiary level.
Children diagnosed with identified, selected health conditions are provided early intervention services and follow-up care in the designated district hospital and services are provided free of cost, thus helping their families reduce the out-of-pocket expenditure incurred on the treatment.
It is pertinent to mention here that in the Kandi Health Block out of two RBSK teams, one team has only one employee because two doctors have resigned and FMPHW is attached to another health center.
Every RBSK team consists of two doctors (male & female) one pharmacist and one FMPHW. In every Health Block, two RBSK teams are working in the v field.
