World Environment Day celebrated with enthusiasm at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, JUNE 05:-‘ Like other parts of the country today World Environment Day was also celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna across the District Udhampur.

On the eve of World- Environment Day and in recognition of the value and benefits the environment provides, A plantation drive and cleanliness drives were carried-out at various locations of the district in which students and staff members of the schools/colleges participated.

The DC stated that there was a need of awareness among all the stakeholders of society and environment could be protected by the collective efforts of each and every members of the society. She said that the main objective of celebrating Environment Day was to make younger generation more sensitize towards environmental protection.

The DC added that it is prime concern for all of us that we should keep our environment clean & green.

It is pertinent to mention here that our small efforts can save & protect the environment and ultimately contribute to its beautification and glorification of our planet, it is our prime duty which we have to perform to save and protect the planet blue.
