UDHAMPUR MAY 24:– Udhampur Police has arrested an accused who made a fake account on social media (Instagram) under girls name.
Based on a complaint lodged by one girl (name withheld) stating that one miscreant had created a fake Instagram account under girl’s name without her consent and regularly harassing her. In this regard, A case FIR No. 69/2022 U/S 66(c) was registered in PS Ramnagar and investigation started.
A special team led by IC PP Ghordi PSI Rythm Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar Dr. Bhishm Dubey was constituted
and with the help of technical surveillance, police sought the detail of the fake instagram account and was also able to identify the location of the user/admin of said social media account.
Police team successfully identified the admin of said fake account as Rohit Sharma S/O Charan Das R/O Prowa Jagir, Jaganoo who was arrested today.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
