LEC ON GOVT SCHEMES FOR UPLIFTMENT OF GUJJAR AND BAKKARWAL COMMUNITY AT MARHOT

SURANKOTE MAY 12:–Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Headquarter Counter Insurgency Force (ROMEO) conducted a lec for Gujjar and Bakkarwal who constitute of about 80% population of the total ST population of the state of Jammu and Kashmir with their predominant concentration in the district of Poonch. Indian Army conducted a lecture on Government Schemes for Upliftment of Gujjar and Bakkarwal Community at Marhot on 12 May 2022 for Gujjars and Bakkarwals of the remote villages. The aim of this lecture was to create awareness regarding various schemes designed for uplifting the community of Gujjars and Bakkarwals and provide development in respect of Education, Health & Employment of Youth. A total of locals attended the event. Locals praised gracious gesture which has further augmented the goodwill of the Army in the region.
