RAJOURI MAY 06 :–Police while foiling several bovine smuggling bids in Thanamandi area of Rajouri seized five vehicles, arrested five smuggler drivers and rescued twenty three bovines.
In an official statement, Rajouri police said that on Friday, teams of police from Thanamandi police station headed by SHO Shoket Amin under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed during naka Checking intercepted five Tata mobiles which were found loaded with 23 bovine animals and were on way from Rajouri towards Buffliaz.
All the vehicles have been seized in action with their drivers indulged in bovine smuggling have been arrested.
Case in FIRs 61/2022 , 62/2022,63/2022, 64/2022 and 65/2022 U/Ss 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act have been registered in local police station.
The seized vehicles include
Tata Mobile JK20B 4096, Tata mobile JK11E 5784,
Tata mobile JK11E 7169,
Tata mobile JK11D 6914 and
Tata mobile JK11D 0219.
The drivers of vehicles who have been arrested in the action are identified as Mohd Rafiq son of Fakir Mohd resident of Kunder Reasi, Mohd Altaf son of Mohd Shafi resident of Dandote Kotranka, Mohd Mushtaq son of Qamar Din resident of Dandote Kotranka, Mohd Ishtyaq son of Abdul Gafoor resident of Dandote Kotranka and Zarayat Hussain son of Ali Sher resident of Dandote.
