RAJOURI/BUDHAL APRIL 19:–People’s Democratic Party leader Naseema Chauhan has demanded opening of branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Sungri, Tuli and Sanglikot areas of Chasana Tehsil in Reasi district and demanded directions for bank employees to work in double shifts during Ramadan and Navratri.
In a statement issued to media, Naseema Chauhan said that Chasana tehsil is the largest tehsil in Reasi district in terms of area and population and most of the population resides in remote areas. She said that there is only one branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Chasana Tehsil where all the government employees of Chasana Tehsil, MNREGA workers, farmers and students have accounts. She said that due to overcrowding, the elderly and children could not deposit money in the bank or withdraw money even after standing in line for several days.
Naseema Chauhan has demanded from the Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Bank to open more branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Sungri, Tuli and Sanglikot areas of Chasana Tehsil so that the customers do not face any difficulties.
He appealed to the District Development Commissioner, Reasi to issue instructions/directions to the employees of all the banks to work in double shifts in view of Ramadan and Navratri so that the consumers do not face any problem.
