RAJOURI APRIL 14:–In order to get first hand information of public issues and to resolve them at the door steps of masses, Rajouri police on Thursday organised a public interaction meeting at far flung Khawas area of the district.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Mohammad Aslam chaired this meeting in which Station House Officer Budhal, Incharge Police Post Khawas were also present with a large number of civil society members, prominent citizen from all walks of life and PRIs took part.
The locals while speaking during this meeting appraised the officer about basic issues.
Addressing this meeting, SSP Rajouri Mohammad Aslam said that all the issues related to police have been noted and will be resolved within shortest possible time.
He further said that the issues related to civil administration will be taken up with district civil administration so that these issues are also resolved.
SSP Rajouri Mohammad Aslam said that Khawas tehsil is one of the remote tehsil of Rajouri district and aim to organise this public meeting in this far flung area is to listen the grievances of local population of remote areas at their door steps.
He further said that people in Khawas have always stood shoulder to shoulder with law enforcement agencies and played a pivotal role in maintenance of law and order.
He said that role of civil society is important in maintenance of order and every citizen of society should take it as a moral responsibility.
He also appealed civil society to help authorities in identification of suitable chunk of land for construction of police post at Khawas.
