RAJOURI, APRIL 09:– District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officer to discuss and finalise the arrangements for holding Block level Health Melas.
The meeting was informed that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) have proposed to organize ‘Block-Level Health Melas’ as part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Block Level Health Melas are proposed to be organized in all the blocks of the district and it will be held for one day, the meeting was told.
Speaking at the meeting, the District Development Commissioner said that the objective of organising these Block Health Melas was to provide specialized treatment and diagnostic services free of cost to the public.
He further stressed that publicity and awareness plays a vital role in the successful implementation of any Scheme at grassroots level.
The District Development Commissioner directed the Health Department to Finalise the plan for IEC activities for successful conduct of the ‘Block Health Melas.’
It was also decided in the meeting that the Health Department would rope in specialist Doctors and the Chief Medical Officer Rajouri would ensure that they attend the Health Melas.
The Chief Education Officer was directed to ensure that all the periphery schools participate in the Health Melas and directed for Health check up of all the students.
The District Social Welfare Officer was asked to ensure Health checkup of all the Old age pension beneficiaries.
The DDC directed for maintaining close coordination among the departments for the successful conduct of the Block Health Melas in the district.
The meeting was attended by PO ICDS, Kartar, CMO, Dr Shamin Un Nissa Bhatti, CPO, Mohd Khurshid, CEO, Smt. Shailesh Kumari; Deputy CMO, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi, DHO, Dr Khalid, DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhat and other concerned Officers
