RAJOURI MARCH 31:– Department of Mathematical Sciences, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri, organised an online International Conference on Mathematical Analysis & Applications in which more than 200 people from within the country and outside of the country participated. Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor of the University congratulated the department on the successful completion of the conference. The Vice Chancellor stressed upon the need of such events for the the larger benefits of students, research scholars and faculty members.
The programme began with a welcome address by the Convenor of the conference & Head of the Department, Dr. Zaheer Abbas, during which he introduced the Keynote and Plenary speakers, who were 13 in number from India and abroad, to the audience. The 13 invited speakers, including Prof. Eberhard Malkowsky, Prof. M. Mursaleen, Prof. Oscar Castillo, Prof. Liliana Guren, Prof. Pummy Manchanda, Prof. Madhu Jain, Prof. Kaleemuddin , Prof. Romesh who spoke in the conference were from Mexico, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia & India. Prof. Asif Husian (DSM&CS) while speaking during the inaugural function expressed his happiness over the quality of speakers and congratulated the Department for organising the conference. While speaking in the inaugural function, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Iqbal Parwez welcome the participants on the behalf of the University, presented a brief history of the university, expressed his satisfaction and felt very excited over the choice of the speakers. He also congratulated the Department for organising the conference. The conference was spread over four technical sessions, each session coordinated by a pair of faculty members of the Department. The session coordinators were (Dr. Mudassir & Mrs. Sharuti), Dr. Zaheer Abbas & Mr. Tanveer), (Dr. Ram Singh & Mr. Arif) & ( Dr. Javid Iqbal & Dr. Naveen). In addition to 13 Keynote & plenary talks , around 40 faculty members & research scholars of various institutions presented their research papers. The conference ended with a valedictory function in which Dr. Zaheer Abbas thanked all those who were a part of the conference including PG students of the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
