We as a community must be extremely grateful and thankful for the actions of SIT towards this case of Heinous Crime.He further said that now its high time to ensure fast track trial in the case and to present Chargesheet at an earliest,so that those involved in this brutality are taken to task and imprisoned for the maximum term under section 326 A IPC.
It is pertinent to mention here that during the evening of 01.02.2022, Srinagar police received information regarding acid attack on a 24 year old girl in Hawal area falling under Police Station Nowhatta. Alert Police immediately swung into action and an FIR was lodged within no time vide No. 08/2022 U/S 326-A of IPC at Police Station Nowhatta and investigation started”
“Keeping in view the nature of this heinous crime, SSP Srinagar immediately formed a Special investigation team with SP North Raja Zuhaib-JKPS as Chairman and SDPO Khanyar, SHO Nowhatta, SHO Safakadal and SHO Women PS as members. which led to the arrest of all the accused involved in the case within 24 Hour’s.”
He maintained that those who are silent and can not appreciate police are encouraging those who have committed this offence.
He thanked Jammu Kashmir Police for always helping the society and for keeping us safe in these challenging times.
