Special drive against violators of Traffic norms 21 vehicles seized in Rajouri, 76 violators fined

Rajouri December 28:--In order to tighten noose against violators of traffic norms and to initiate legal action against them, the Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri launched a special drive against violators and laid different surprise nakas in the territorial jurisdiction of Rajouri town.

These nakas were laid by teams under the supervision of Station House Officer Rajouri, Fareed Ahmed and on the directions of SSP Rajouri

During the drive, the violators of traffic rules and regulations were intercepted and twenty one vehicles were found plying on road without valid documents after which these vehicles were seized under law.

Besides, seventy six drivers of different vehicles were found violating traffic rules for which they were fined.

These teams also imposed fine on thirty five people who were found violating COVID19 protocols and were not wearing face masks, distance etc.

SSP Rajouri also appealed all the parents/ guardians of Rajouri not to allow their minor children from driving for which parents/ guardians are liable under law.
