Bovine smuggling bid foiled in Rajouris’Keri

Rajouri December 22:–Police team in Rajouri foiled a bovine smuggling bid rescuing six animals from a goods carrier vehicle.

Police said that a team headed by Incharge PP Chatyar Chingus, PSI Sahil Chowdhary under the supervision of DySP HQ Vinod Sharma was on routine patrolling in the morning hours of Wednesday when team intercepted a Goods Carrier mini auto with registration number JK11D 2731 which was coming from Lam area and was on its way to Surankote.

During frisking of vehicle, six bovines were founded loaded in the vehicle after which animala were rescued and vehicle was seized.

A case under relevant sections of law is being registered into the matter in Police Station Rajouri.
