RAJOURI DECEMBER 09 :– Even as Indians mourn the death of Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife & eleven others in the Chopper crash in Coonoor in Tamil Nadu, some anti-national elements in the country and Pakistani Twitter users have been rejoicing and mocking at the tragedy.
One such person, who is a shopkeeper and reportedly a resident of Muradpur village situated in the vicinity of Rajouri town, has been detained by the Rajouri police in J&K for posting/forwarding objectionable content on social media against CDS General Bipin Rawat.
The Shopkeeper was detained by the Rajouri police reportedly on the complaints lodged by some people.
District Police Office has not shared any details about the detention, identity, and registration of the case against the shopkeeper.
However, sources said FIR has been registered lodged and further investigation and legal proceedings against the accused are going on.
Sources added the social media post was highly objectionable and sensitive in nature. Senior police officers prefer to issue any statement in this matter. Even the SHO didn’t respond to several phone calls.
Rajasthan police have also arrested one Jawwad Khan (as per media reports) from Tonk town for his social media post celebrating the death of General Rawat.
