Pahari Tribe Leaders Hold Meet

Jammu, December 04:–Pahari leaders meeting held in Jammu where the all parties prominent Pahari Ex Legislators, Lawyers, former Bureaucrats, and other prominent persons have participated.
This meeting was in continuation to the earlier meeting held on 1st of December at Ex-MLC M R Qureshi Residence. Threadbare discussion took place regarding Pahari Tribe four decades pending ST Demand. The meeting also discussed the current political atmosphere, reaction, etc. regarding the ST demand of the Pahari tribe.

It was unanimously decided to work unitedly for social, education, economical and political upliftment of Pahari Tribe and stressed that we are One_Voice and has One Slogan, One Goal, One Mission and One Demand i.e scheduled tribe status for pahari tribe.

It was resolved to request the Government of India to expedite the process of scheduling the Pahari ethnic Tribe before the completion of Delimitation Process of Assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir, so that, the proper and due representation is to be provided to Paharis in the J&K Assembly proportionate to their population.

The meeting was held under the President ship of Syed Mushtaq Bukhari Ex Minister and those who have participated among others were Mr Amin Anjum IGP Rtd, Mr M R Qureshi Advocate Ex MLC, Mr Ashok Sharma Advocate Ex MLA, Mr Iqbal Malik DDC Member, Mr GA Qureshi DC Rtd, Advocate Nadeem Rafiq Khan, Tariq Sajjad , Saleem Naz Mughal and Advocate Altaf Hussain Janjua etc.
