SURANKOTE NOVEMBER 29:–Inhabitants of various areas in Surankote town of district Poonch are up in arms against the Power Development Department (PDD) for it’s failure in providing adequate electricity in this areas.’

Inhabitants of Surankote and other areas have accused the higher authorities of ignoring their plights and have demanded immediate redressal of their genuine grievances. Surankote people’s have appealed Chief Engineer Power Development Department and Deputy Commissioner Poonch to interfere in resolving the grievance and ensure hassle free power supply to the said areas.

Talking to GNS ONLINE the residents said that PDD has completely failed to provide them scheduled electricity especially in peak hours. He said that with the unscheduled power cuts in the area people are being forced to hit streets.

“We are continuously pleading before the higher ups in this regard while the authorities assured us to redress their grievance , the promises made by the authorities proved hoax” Surankote residents said a resident.
