We the residents of Ward No.08, Mughal Mohalla Islampur Thannamandi would like to bring to your attention that in recent weeks, we have been experiencing a great number of power cuts due to the spreading of faulty power lines and poles, which is a rising concern here in the locality. As back in the month of MAY 2021, a private company was hired to setup the new electricity poles with new power lines along with a new transformer to be installed in the area. But the assigned private company installed these new power lines with fully functional new electricity poles on the one side of the road and non-functional electric poles without any power cables on them are just piled into the ground in the Mughal Mohalla where the” old power lines” are still messed up and not fully functional. Because of these cuts (caused by faulty power lines), very tragic effects could be noticed on health, both mental and as well as physical (as winter has arrived and snowfall occurs during this period of time and thus leading to further power cuts and low voltage supply and also decreasing the Voltage carrying capacity due to inefficient power cables).
Whereas in regard to this situation we have already reported a complaint to the JE of Electricity Department who is assigned to this locality and yet he has not taken any action regard to this situation even after complaining multiple times. And the lineman assigned in our area rarely show up to see and even meet the locals to sort this messed up situation as there is none to take action.
The real condition is very difficult to cope up. So, we request you to please send someone to examine the situation and take necessary action for getting the problem resolved. We would appreciate a prompt action on this matter.
