Budhal September 13:– An Awareness and Water Testing Training Camp was organized by Jal Shakti Department at Gram Panchayat Kewal, Budhal Block, Rajouri District, Jammu and Kashmir State on how to check water quality and keep water clean.
The rural people were informed about water quality and water borne diseases and Anganwadi workers and Asha workers stationed in Panchayat Kewal were trained to check water quality.
In Rajouri District, Gram Panchayat level officials are being trained on the use of field test kits and water quality issues including water quality monitoring, health and related diseases, sanitation and hygiene.
Meanwhile, a field test kit has been provided to the Gram Panchayat. In addition, demo kits were provided for training purposes.
Mohammad Farooq Inqalabi, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Kewal, thanked all the officials of Jal Shakti Department who were training people in remote areas of Rajouri district to check water quality. He said that it was very important to awaken the people in the rural areas.
On this occasion, JE Shahid Naik, Sofia Shabbir Chemist, Supervisor Rafiq Malik, Waseem Ahmed, Asha Workers, Anganwari Workers and PRI members were present.
