Rajouri July 26 :-In a satisfactory development the Covid recovery rate in Rajouri district has gone up to 97.49% (overall) while the overall positivity rate is 2.39% and the death rate is 2.07%.
According to official details, 102% of people above 45 years age and 38% of 18 to 44 years age group have been given the first jab.
The district has also achieved the 101% target for vaccinating the health care workers and 98% of front-line workers.
The district currently has 49 active cases out of 10895 persons tested positive during 1st & 2nd wave while out of 49 active cases 9 are under treatment in different hospitals, including 3 in GMC Rajouri & 5 outside the district.
Out of 1056 tests conducted on Sunday, 7 persons, including 2 minor boys were tested positive today while 1987 samples were collected today.
Rajesh Kumar Shavan, District Magistrate repeatedly has been appealing to the people of the district to go for the vaccination and to follow the Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) & other SOPs for their safety against the pandemic.
In an encouraging development, despite dense fog and drizzle, the ASHA and Anganwari Workers and vaccination teams conducted testing/sample collecting and vaccination exercise in the Kandi Health Block under the supervision of Dr.Iqbal Malik, BMO.
