DDC Rajouri commissioned additional Oxygen Concentrator Plant of 750 LPM capacity at GMC&AH ;Two more OCPs of similar capacities to be installed soon

RAJOURI, JULY 25: In one another move to make the district self-reliant in medical oxygen production, the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today commissioned an additional Oxygen Concentrator Plant of 750 LPM capacity to the Health Authorities here at GMC&AH Rajouri.

Among the others, Principal GMC, Brij Mohan Gupta; Medical Superintendent DH, Dr Mehmood; Assistant Executive Engineer Mechanical, Vinod Sharma besides the concerned officers and paramedical staff of the Health Department were present on the occasion

Speaking on the occasion, the District Development Commissioner said that the District Administration is committed to ensuring there is no dearth of medical oxygen supply in the district so that the COVID patients don’t face any inconveniences while receiving treatment and concrete measures are being taken in this respect.

The District Development Commissioner further said that one oxygen concentrator plant with a capacity of 1000 litres per minute is already functioning in GMC&AH and with the commissioning of another additional oxygen concentrator plant, the capacity of medical oxygen capacity of the GMC&AH has reached up to 1750 LPM today.

“Two more oxygen concentrator plants with 750 LPM capacity each would be installed within coming months to provide necessary relief to the COVID patients”, the District Development Commissioner added.

The District Development Commissioner also hailed the efforts of the executing agency for completing the work on the plant in a time-bound manner.

While inspecting the progress on the room being constructed for the CT Scan purpose, the District Development Commissioner asked the concerned to complete the room within the shortest possible time.

The District Development Commissioner also inspected the progress on 200 bedded capacity augmentation work in the GMC&AH and issued directions to the concerned Executing Agency for the time-bound completion of the work.

The District Development Commissioner also directed the concerned Health Authorities to put in place extra efforts to provide the best possible and quality health services to the patients so that they don’t feel any inconveniences.

The District Development Commissioner also urged the public to keep following all the SOPs regarding COVID19 and help the District Administration mitigate the pandemic in the district.
