Rajouri July 16 :–Enforcement teams in a drive to implement Covid-19 protocol across Rajouri district have fined scores of violators roaming without wearing masks and violating other SOPs and have realised a fine worth Rs 36,700.
People have been advised to wear masks and maintain social distancing and go for vaccination at the nearest vaccination center.
Despite the shortage of the vaccine in many centers, including in Rajouri town, 3850 persons were administered first and second doses across the district today.
With the death of a male patient in the Army hospital the death tally in the district has risen to 224 including 169 deaths during the second wave. Out of 10840 positive cases detected in the district during 1st & 2nd waves 10534 have recovered while 82 cases are still active out of which 22 are under treatment in various hospitals, including 8 in GMC Rajouri and 8 in the Army hospital and 6 are out of the district.
10 cases were detected positive today, including one death, among 1983 reports received today.
The overall positivity rate in the district is 2.47%, while the recovery rate is 97.1%. The district still has 37 containment zones while during 1st & 2nd wave, 4,21,012 RT-PCR and RAT tests have been conducted in the district.
