Jammu, 27/Feb/ :–Dr Shazad Malik, renowned academician hailing from border district poonch today strongly condemned the apathy of the administration towards border residents who are facing double whammy, one is heavy shelling from Pakistan and other is cold shoulder from the state government.
Dr Shazad said though as the repeated directions from the union government the bunkers for civil population should have been constructed much earlier as billions of rupees had been provided by MHA but unfortunately torotise like speed of the construction is now causing inconvienance to the people.
He said in absence of adequate number of bunkers, the civilians are prone to fatal injuries during shelling from across the border.
He also said, there is almost no availability of ambulances on borders which is primarcy requirement to evacuate any injured civilian to the district hospitals.
He appealed the governor Satya Pal Malik to provide expedite construction of bunkers near LoC and border areas of Poonch and ensure proper medical aid facilities there including ambulances, doctors and para medic staff.
Dr Shazad said border residents are standing like rock with brave Indian forces but the government must sincerity in reaching towards them.
