Rajouri police book some persons under section 302 IPC.

Rajouri June 22 :-‘Some unidentified persons, residents of village Muradpur, have been booked by Rajouri police in the alleged attack and murder of a person in the late-night hours on Monday.
“Today (on June 22) information was received at police station Rajouri that one person, namely Aijaz Dar s/o Mohd Afzal of Rajdhani village in Thanamandi tehsil was attacked by some persons near Muradpur, due to which he was injured and died,” the police said in a press note.
It was added, in relation to this FIR No.408/2021 under sections 302 (murder)/147 (guilty of rioting)/ 148 (armed with deadly weapon)/ 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) / 336 (act which endangers human life) & 341 (wrongful restraint) IPC has been registered in police station Rajouri and investigation initiated.
Several police parties are on move to track and apprehend the accused in question.
The police has not come out with more details about the incident. However, the sources said that the deceased reportedly had gone to the village along with another person and were way back along with a buffalo purchased for domestic purposes.
“Some youth of the area misapprehend it and took it as bovine smuggling and chased the deceased’s vehicle that resulted in an unfortunate incident and Aijaz was critically injured,” said sources.
The deceased was taken to GMC hospital Rajouri. Doctors after initial treatment referred him to GMC at Jammu & he later succumbed to injuries.
Family members, villagers, political/social leaders today met with the DIG, Deputy Commissioner, and SSP and demanded stringent action/PSA against the accused involved in the incident and suitable relief for the family.
“The deceased was the only earning hand for the family as the father is suffering from paralysis & having three minor daughters. The Administration has assured us action under law against the accused and suitable relief for the family,” said Tazeem Dar, district president, PDP.
“Some person from the area has taken the law in their hand instead of seeking help from the police in this incident. We will cooperate the police in its investigation,” said Ranjeet Tara, Bajrang Dal leader.
He added in the past few cows went missing from the area and that could have lead to this unfortunate incident.
