RAJOURI JAN 15:– In a heartbreaking incident, a five-year-old girl lost her life after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs in Shahdra village, located in the Thanamandi sub-division of Rajouri district, on Wednesday.
The victim, identified as Samreen Kouser, daughter of Mohammad Shafayet, was returning home from school when the tragic attack occurred. According to officials, a group of stray dogs pounced on the young girl, leaving her critically injured.
Hearing her desperate cries, locals rushed to the scene and managed to rescue Kouser, quickly transporting her to a nearby hospital. Tragically, the doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The incident has left the local community in shock and mourning, with many calling for immediate measures to address the stray dog menace in the area. Authorities have yet to issue a formal statement regarding the tragedy.
