A terrorist group reportedly recruiting new faces to revive militancy in Rajouri Poonch.Pakistan’s frustration against G20 submit in Kashmir can’t be rule out ìn this attack.

RAJOURI, APRIL 20:–In a terrible tragedy, five Indian soldiers of the Rashtriya Rifles Unit have attained martyrdom while another was critically injured after in a well-planned attack a group of terrorists opened fire and hurled grenades on an Army truck on the Jammu-Poonch highway near Bhatta Dhurian area at about 3 pm on Thursday.
The injured has been rescued at Army hospital in Rajouri for specialised treatment.
The truck was on its way from Sector Headquarters in Rajouri district to Company HQ at Sangiot (in Poonch) & terrorists fire on the truck from all sides and also hurled grenades in a severe attack which is evident from the fact the massive fire engulfed the truck giving no time to soldiers to come out of the truck or to retaliate.

Bullet mark/holes were visible on both sides of the truck and on the oil tank and the oil, reportedly become the main reason for the massive fire.
After the attack terrorists involved disappeared into the dense forest taking advantage of poor visibility due to inclement weather conditions.
The Army, Police & Paramilitary forces have launched massive search & destroy operations in the area to locate the perpetrators.
“Today, at approximately 1500 hours, one Army vehicle, moving between Bhimber Gali and Poonch in the Rajouri sector was fired on by unidentified terrorists, taking advantage of heavy rains and low visibility in the area. The vehicle caught fire, due to likely use of grenades by terrorists,” said PRO Defence Jammu Lt Col Devender Anand.
“Five personnel of RR Unit deployed for Counter Terrorist operations in this area have unfortunately lost their lives in the incident while seriously injured was evacuated immediately to the Army hospital at Rajouri & is under treatment ” he added
The Army has launched a search operation to identify the perpetrators. According to reports, the Commander of the 13 Sector Rashtriya Rifles has also been rushed to the spot.
Meanwhile, in a Tweet Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said: “Anguished by the tragedy in Poonch district (J&K), where the Indian Army has lost its brave soldiers after a truck caught fire. In this tragic hour, my thoughts are with the bereaved families”.
According to media reports, the People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), a proxy outfit of the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, has claimed to attack Army truck in Bhata Dhurian area.
For the last few months, the reports suggest that a large group of Pakistani terrorists is operating in both the districts of Rajouri & Poonch and making hectic efforts to revive terror activities by luring new faces by providing them with drugs & money.
The group is also found providing arms training, how to plant IEDs & throw grenades etc. to new recruits to avoid detection of their identified OGWs.
Once again the SFs/intelligence agencies have failed to develop information about the activities of Anti-National Elements and once again they succeeded in their nefarious design to disturb peace in the Pir Panjal region.
It was expected that Pakistan in nexus with ISI and its Army will go to any extent to disturb/derail G20 meeting in Srinagar and to tell the International community that J&K is a disturbed area.
During the last 18 months in five major terror incidents in the border districts of Rajouri & Poonch, 23 people, including 14 soldiers, have lost their innocent lives while no terrorist was killed in these five terror attacks.
In the month of October 2011, 9 soldiers were killed In DKG and Bhata Dhurian areas in the Poonch district and even after two months long anti-terror operations, no terrorist was killed.
In the month of December 2022, two terrorists struck near the Army hospital at Phaliyana in Rajouri and killed two civilians.
Again on January 1, 2023, reportedly the same group of 2 terrorists struck Dhangri village and in twin terror attacks 7 persons, including two minor cousins lost their lives.
Even after more than 110 days after Dhangi massacre, the perpetrators of Dhangri are still at large.
