4th District Poonch Penack Silat Championship 2025–26 Concludes

POONCH AUGUST 24:-The 4th District Poonch Penack Silt Championship 2025–26 was organised on August 22 2025 and 23/2025 with great enthusiasm and wide participation from across the district. The championship witnessed energetic performances from all age groups – Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior categories – both boys and girls.

The event was graced by Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Incharge Sports Manager Poonch, who attended as the Chief Guest.

Among the special guests, the championship proudly hosted Mr. Pervaiz Ahmed, Mr. Wassim Akram, Mr. Shabir Malik, and Mr. Owais Ahmed.

The occasion was further honored by the presence of the Guests of Honour – Ms. Abhay Rania and Mr. Ashiq Hussain, along with several other dignitaries and sports lovers of the district.

The officials panel included Mr. Rayaz Ahmed, Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed, Mr. Umber Ahmed, and Mr. Ashfaq Malik, who contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the event.

The technical aspects and organizational arrangements were meticulously managed under the leadership of Mr. Manzoor Ahmed Lone, Technical Incharge and Organizing Secretary.

Speaking on the closing ceremony,  Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and highlighted the importance of such championships in nurturing young talent at the grassroots level. The presence of enthusiastic players and supportive spectators reflected the growing passion for sports in Poonch district.

The championship concluded successfully with a strong commitment to promote sportsmanship, discipline, and unity through such sporting events in the future.
