47 teachers getting Rs 23 lakh salary per month without work. CEO withheld salaries.

Rajouri September 18:–Believe it or not, but it is true that 47 teachers in Peeri Education Zone were withdrawing Rs 23 lakh salary per month by ignoring the higher authorities’ directions to conduct home/community and online classes during the lockdown period.
During the lockdown these teachers have not taught even a single word to the poor students.
Taking cognizance of the initial investigation in this matter, Ch.Gulazar Hussain, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has stopped the salaries of these teachers.
An Order issued in this connection by the CEO on Wednesday said that all these teachers have violated with impunity the orders by the education department time to time for home/on-line and community classes.
“This office (CEO’s) has also issued circulars/remainders from time to time regarding the implementation of government orders in letter & spirit..But these teachers failed to implement the orders” read CEO order.
ZEO, Peeri in his report to CEO sent on September 12 said that during initial investigation, it was found these teachers have not taught even a single word to the innocent / poor students during the lockdown period.
According to ZEO report 2 Masters withdrawing Rs1.56 lakh salary per month, 10-general line teachers withdrawing Rs 6.38 lakh per month, 6-teachers (3rd) getting Rs3.32 Lakh per month & 29 Grade II/III (RReTs) withdrawing salary worth Rs 11.74 Lakh per month.
Schools include 5 middle schools at Mahal Rehan,Tarkassi,Kharalla, Kha-II, & Bhunda Naka while primary schools at Dung Rehan, SS Swari, Basanwali Ghai, Pathshala Kha, Pooni Kha, Mahal Charan, Dehri, Hill Kotlan, SS Peeri, Gakhrote, Kheruwala, Dhaki Chambi Trar,Mohalla Kesar, Murrian and Tarran.
The matter has been taken up with higher authorities.
