Govt Primary School Tran Kewal Building Turns Into Junkyard, Students Forced to Study in Rented Rooms
GNS ONLINE NEWS PORTAL
RAJOURI OCT 29:-A shocking video of the Government Primary School Tran Kewal in Zone Kotranka, District Rajouri, has sparked outrage after it revealed that the school building has been lying unused and turned into a junkyard for the last ten to fifteen years.
Senior PDP leader Farooq Inqlabi, while sharing the video on social media, termed the situation “shameful” and accused the education authorities of negligence. He said that despite repeated written and verbal requests to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kotranka, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri, and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Kotranka, no action has been taken to restore the school building for academic use.
“The building is lying locked illegally by some locals, while students are being forced to study in a rented accommodation which is insufficient and lacks basic facilities,” Inqlabi alleged.
He further said that it was “very unfortunate” that although the school is located on the main Rajouri–Budhal road, education department officials who frequently travel to Budhal have never bothered to visit the school.
“The officers are in deep slumber while the future of poor students is being compromised,” Inqlabi remarked, urging the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to intervene personally and take immediate action to restore the school building for the benefit of the students.

All is Not Well in National Conference; Kangan NC MLA Slams Own Government Over Forest Land Evictions in Assembly
GNS ONLINE NEWS PORTAL
SRINAGAR OCT,29:-In a rare instance of internal dissent, National Conference (NC) MLA from Kangan, Mian Mehar Ali, on Tuesday openly criticized his own party’s government in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, alleging that residents are being forcibly evicted from forest areas ever since the NC-led administration assumed office.
Raising the issue during the session, the MLA claimed that no such evictions took place during the Lieutenant Governor’s rule. “It would have been better if Jammu and Kashmir had remained under Governor’s Rule,” he stated, expressing disappointment over the current administration’s approach.
He further targeted NC vice president Omar Abdullah, accusing him of asking people to vacate land where they have lived for generations rather than protecting their ownership rights.
Ali said that communities residing on these lands for decades deserve rehabilitation and protection instead of eviction drives.
It is worth mentioning that NC MPs Agha Ruhullah Mehdi and Mian Altaf have also publicly voiced concerns over the party’s policies, questioning its commitments made during the Assembly election campaign.
