Srinagar Resonates with the Spirit of a ‘Drug-Free Kashmir’ as JKNPF Holds Mega Bike Rally

    GNS ONLINE NEWS PORTAL

SRINAGAR OCT 11:-The Jammu & Kashmir Nationalist People’s Front (JKNPF) today organized a mega bike rally across Srinagar under the powerful banner “Drug-Free Kashmir.” The city reverberated with the roar of engines and the united voices of youth pledging to build a Kashmir free from the scourge of drugs.

The rally began from the JKNPF headquarters and passed through Dalgate, Khanyar, Downtown, Idgah, and Karan Nagar, before culminating at Ghanta Ghar, Lal Chowk. At every stop, participants displayed unflinching resolve and enthusiasm, echoing a single message — “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life.”

JKNPF expressed heartfelt gratitude to the District Administration, J&K Police, and the concerned SHOs along the route — especially SSP Srinagar and SP North Mr. Shaukat Sahib — for their active coordination and support, which ensured the success of this mass awareness initiative.

Addressing the participants, JKNPF leaders voiced grave concern over the alarming rise in drug abuse across Jammu & Kashmir, where nearly 13 lakh people are directly or indirectly affected. They called for strict enforcement of the NDPS and PNDPS Acts to tackle this growing menace that continues to claim young lives and devastate families.

The party also urged religious leaders, imams, and khateebs to amplify this campaign by speaking about the moral, social, and spiritual dangers of addiction during Friday sermons. Parents, they emphasized, must remain vigilant — aware of where their children are, who they associate with, and what influences surround them.

To strengthen citizen participation, JKNPF has launched a toll-free hotline where people can confidentially report drug-related activities. The party assured that such information would be shared promptly with the authorities to ensure swift action.

Speaking on the occasion, JKNPF President Jasif Ahmed Khan and Media Head Mohammad Faheem Reshi said:

    > “This is not just a rally — it is a voice of hope. Our youth are our strength, and we cannot allow this generation to fade away in silence. Together, we must rise against this menace and protect our future.”

Senior Leader and Chief Patron  Sanjay Kumar Ji lauded the Srinagar team’s dedication, stating:

    > “Each biker who rode today carried a message of courage and change. This movement is for every mother who worries, for every parent who hopes, and for every young soul who deserves a life free from drugs.”

JKNPF extended its deep appreciation to the J&K Police and administration for their unwavering cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to continue spreading awareness and mobilizing communities across the Union Territory until every street, every home, and every heart echoes with one mission —

    > “Drug-Free Kashmir — Our Mission, Our Responsibility.”
