    RAJOURI,MAY 21:-Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today reviewed the security situation along the border and interacted with the brave soldiers deployed at Poonch and Nowshera sector.

    The Lieutenant Governor saluted the indomitable courage and gallantry of Army forces personnel in ‘Operation Sindoor’. He said, the invincible power of our Brave Soldiers has ensured a decisive victory for Bharat.

    “Dharma has won and Adharma has surrendered before your weapons and might. I am proud that in just a few days our brave soldiers broke the back of the enemy and today 140 crore citizens are remembering your valour, courage and sacrifice,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

    He said, the entire nation is proud of the bravery and valour of our Armed Forces for giving a strong and decisive response to terrorism and dismantling the terror bases in Pakistan.

    “Operation Sindoor is living example of India’s military and strategic might. It has also proved that every inch of Pakistan’s land is today the target of our brave soldiers and the enemy knows that if it indulges in future misadventure then it will not survive.

    RAJOURI, MAY 21:- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited Rajouri and met the families affected due to unprovoked heavy firing by Pakistan.

    The Lieutenant Governor also visited the Government Medical College Rajouri and enquired about the well-being of those injured in Pakistan’s shelling.

    Reviewing the relief and rehabilitation measures, the Lieutenant Governor was briefed by Abhishek Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, on the present situation in the district, and other important matters pertaining to disbursement of relief, availability of essential commodities, medical & emergency services, damage to property and livestock, and requirement of new bunkers in the district.

    The meeting also paid homage to Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, who lost his life due to shelling by the enemy in the civilian area.

    Later, the Lieutenant Governor visited Nowshera and took assessment of residential houses damaged by Pakistan’s shelling.

    He interacted with the local residents and took stock of their issues and grievances. He reaffirmed that the Government of India is committed to people’s safety and rehabilitation.

    RAJOURI MAY 20:-A horrific murder took place on the intervening night of May 19 and 20 in Keri hamlet of Khawas tehsil, Kotranka sub-division, Rajouri district.
    The victim, identified as Parshotam Lal (44), son of Amar Nath, was brutally killed in what is being described as a shocking and violent crime.
    According to the in-charge of the Khawas police post, the murder was committed by unidentified person(s) who fled the scene, leaving behind neither the weapon used in the crime nor any other clues.
    The badly mutilated body of Parshotam Lal was discovered near his house by family members in the morning. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community.
    The family immediately informed the Khawas police post, and a police team rushed to the remote hamlet. The body was taken to the Community Health Center (CHC) at Kandi-Kotranka after completing legal formalities.
    The in-charge of the Khawas police post stated that after conducting medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family for the last rites. A murder case has been registered under Section 102 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
    The police have launched a thorough investigation into all aspects of the case and are examining various leads to uncover the motive behind this gruesome murder.
