    RAJOURI APRIL 07:-In a stirring prelude to Rajouri Day, Valley View Army Public School hosted an Inter-School Dance Competition that turned into a heartfelt tribute to the nation. The event saw spirited participation from schools across the district, with students channeling patriotism through powerful performances.

    Teams from Delhi Public School, International School, National Academy, Valley View Army Public School, and Police Public School took the stage, each presenting a unique story of courage, sacrifice, and national pride. The audience, comprising parents, dignitaries, and school officials, was visibly moved as the young dancers invoked the essence of India’s spirit.

    “The soul of India lives in its youth, and today, it danced,” said one of the organizers, summing up the emotional intensity of the event.

    The competition concluded with a prize distribution ceremony honoring the top three schools. Yet, beyond the trophies, it was the sincerity of each performance that resonated most. Every participant danced not for accolades, but for the tricolor—a shared symbol of unity and pride.

    RAJOURI, APRIL 07:-In a continued effort to intensify the fight against drug abuse, Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma today conducted surprise inspections at Government Higher Secondary School Dodasan Bala and Government Higher Secondary School Saaj to oversee the ongoing activities under the Nasha Mukht Abhiyan.

    During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with staff and students, emphasizing the critical need to create widespread awareness among youth regarding the ill effects of drug abuse. He urged educational institutions to play a proactive role in sensitizing students and involving them as ambassadors of change in the community.

    “Students are the backbone of our future, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they grow in a safe and drug-free environment,” he said while encouraging teachers to engage students through rallies, debates, skits, and awareness sessions.

    Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Development Rajouri, Vijay Kumar Verma visited Government High School Gurdhan Bala and took stock of the awareness activities being conducted under the campaign.

    Similarly, Additional Deputy Commissioners and Sub-Divisional Magistrates visited various educational institutions and public locations across the district to monitor the progress and ensure effective implementation of the Nasha Mukht Abhiyan.

    The district administration has adopted a multi-pronged approach to tackle the issue of drug abuse, with special focus on awareness generation, community involvement, and educational outreach.

    RAJOURI, APRIL 07- Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma today inaugurated a collection-cum-segregation shed at Dhanore Dhindian constructed under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G).

    The newly inaugurated facility is aimed at enhancing solid waste management in the area, especially with regard to plastic waste. It will cater to the waste collection and segregation needs of several adjoining panchayats and the nearby Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), ensuring a cleaner and more sustainable environment, the officials said.

    *Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the establishment of the segregation shed is a significant step towards effective waste management and environmental conservation. “All plastic waste from the surrounding areas will now be scientifically collected and segregated here. This initiative will go a long way in supporting the vision of a clean and green Rajouri,” he added.*

    He also urged the local community members and educational institutions to actively participate in keeping their surroundings clean and cooperate with the administration in achieving the objectives of SBM-G.

    The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Sheraz Chouhan; Technical Officer to Executive Engineer REW; concerned BDO and other officers during the visit.
