    JAMMU MAR 23:-Jammu & Kashmir witnessed grand tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar, as people from different walks of life gathered to honor their sacrifices and revolutionary spirit. The event saw a strong presence of political and social leaders who reiterated the martyrs’ contribution to India’s independence.

    On this occasion, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led a tribute ceremony where heartfelt respects were paid to these great revolutionaries. AAP leader Safeer Ahmad Choudhary, while addressing the gathering, said,”Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev were not just freedom fighters but visionaries who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Their ideology of justice, equality, and fearlessness continues to inspire generations. It is our responsibility to follow their path and work towards a just and equitable society.”

    Further emphasizing the importance of remembering these heroes, Safeer Ahmad Choudhary added,

    Adding to the tributes, Advocate Ibrar Choudhary highlighted the martyrs’ role in shaping India’s independence movement. He stated, “Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev did not just fight against British rule; they laid the foundation for a new vision of India—one based on equality, justice, and unity. It is our duty to carry forward their mission and work for a society where their ideals become a reality.”

    JAMMU MAR 23:-In a significant move, MLA Rajouri Iftkhar Ahmed visited the S.O.S. International office in Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, where he was warmly welcomed by the team led by Chairman Rajiv Chuni. The meeting, which was held on [date], focused on the long-standing issues faced by PoJK Displaced Persons, with Mr. Chuni providing a detailed briefing on the key demands.

    The pressing issues discussed during the meeting included the implementation of the PoJK DPs package, which was passed by the Congress-NC Coalition Government in 2014. Other critical matters included the reservation of 8 Assembly Seats in the J&K Assembly, granting ST Status to PoJK DPs, and the formation of Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, and Poonch Scouts to guard the Line of Control.

    Mr. Chuni also briefed MLA Iftkhar Ahmed on the issue of granting only nominated seats for PoJK in the J&K Assembly to non-political persons from PoJK. Furthermore, the formation of a PoJK Advisory Committee, headed by the Chief Minister, was also discussed. The committee would comprise members nominated from PoJK DPs, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns addressed.

    Another key issue discussed during the meeting was the disbursement of cash assistance to PoJK DPs. Mr. Chuni emphasized the need for immediate disbursement of the assistance, which has been pending for several years. MLA Iftkhar Ahmed assured the team that he would take up the matter with the concerned authorities and ensure that the assistance is disbursed at the earliest.

    Mr. Chuni also expressed gratitude towards MLA Iftkhar Ahmed for his prompt response in addressing the concerns of Dhangri PoJK DPs, whose lands were attempted to be snatched by the J&K Forest Department. Ahmed’s swift action in raising the issue in the J&K Assembly ensured that the land-snatching attempt was stopped immediately.

    In his address, MLA Iftkhar Ahmed assured the members of S.O.S. International that he would raise the demands of the PoJK Displaced Persons at the appropriate level and work towards finding solutions. He also reiterated his commitment to providing support to the PoJK DPs, ensuring that his services are available to them at all times.

    JAMMU, MAR 23:- The Special Crime Wing (SCW) of Jammu’s Crime Branch has booked several individuals for their involvement in financial fraud and the mismanagement of Government funds.

    A Crime Branch official said that in one of the incidents, three individuals, including Rizwan Ahmad Sheikh, Asif Rashid Sheikh, and Arfana Parveen, were accused of defrauding a complainant who was promised lucrative returns on investments made in a purported financial company.

    He said the complainant transferred over Rs 10 lakh to the accused, but no returns were received.

    The accused used fraudulent means to misappropriate the funds, he said, adding that accordingly, a case has been registered under sections 420 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, and further investigations are ongoing.

    In another case, he said, GRS Shafket Ali was booked for mismanagement of funds under the MNREGA scheme.

    According to the CB official, the allegations against Ali included misappropriating wages for skilled workers, transferring funds to deceased individuals, and reporting false material suppliers.

    “Despite Rs 2 lakh being sanctioned for work in a particular ward, no actual work was carried out,” he said.

    As such, a case has been filed against Ali under sections 420 and 406 of the Indian Penal Code, said the CB official.
    Both investigations are being closely supervised by SSP SCW Jammu, Sanjay Parihar, with efforts to ensure accountability and justice, he added.
