    RAJOURI MAR 20:-Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Mohammad Farooq Inqlabi, has expressed deep concern over the tragic incident involving the alleged suicide of former MLA Gurez Faqeer Mohd Khan. Inqlabi firmly stated that a person of Faqeer Mohd Khan’s stature, who was known for his commitment to public service and moral integrity, could not have taken his own life.

    Inqlabi, addressing the media, emphasized that the circumstances surrounding Khan’s death are suspicious and require a thorough, unbiased investigation to determine the truth. “Faqeer Mohd Khan was a respected leader, devoted to the people of the region, and it is difficult to believe that someone of his character would resort to suicide,” Inqlabi remarked.

    He further urged the authorities to carry out a comprehensive inquiry, ensuring that all relevant facts come to light. “This incident demands a transparent investigation. The truth must be unveiled for the sake of the family, the people who respected him, and the public at large,” Inqlabi added.

    RAJOURI MAR 20:– In a significant step toward accelerating infrastructural development, the district administration has successfully removed a long-standing obstruction that had halted the improvement of the Soura Bhattian to Badakhana (Ralakote) road for the past three years due to a land dispute.

    The operation was conducted under the supervision of Abid Hussain Shah (JKAS), Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Thannamandi, in close coordination with the Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Thannamandi, and the local police. The initiative was carried out under the guidance and direction of the Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to resolving infrastructure-related bottlenecks efficiently.

    With an estimated cost of ₹126.00 lakh, this road improvement project is a critical initiative aimed at enhancing connectivity and easing transportation challenges for local residents. The delay caused by the land dispute had significantly impacted the movement of people and essential services, leading to inconvenience for the community.

    The timely intervention by the administration in removing the obstruction has been widely praised by the public, who have welcomed the decisive action taken to resolve the issue.     SRINAGAR MAR 20:-Muhammad Faheem Reshi, Chairman Greater Shah-re-Khaas Group today requested LG for providing amnesty on pending electricity bills for poor residents and traders of Shah-re-Khaas.

    Reshi said financial hardships are faced by many poor residents and small traders in Shah-re-Khaas, who are burdened by long-pending electricity bills.

    “Due to economic difficulties, many families and shopkeepers are struggling to make ends meet, and their pending dues have accumulated beyond their capacity to pay,” he said.

    Reshi urged administration to provide full or partial waiver of old dues for financially weak households besides that easy installment plans for traders and small businesses to clear their dues without heavy penalties.

    He remarked that there should be subsidized electricity rates for low-income families to prevent future burdens.

    He said that by granting this relief will greatly help the people of Shah-re-Khaas in recovering from financial distress and contribute to economic stability in the region.
