    “Today, we stand in solidarity with the shop owners and the hardworking families who have lost so much. This loss is not just about buildings; it’s about dreams, livelihoods, and the spirit of our community,” Shahzad stated, her voice heavy with emotion. “It breaks my heart to see the faces of those who have poured their lives into these businesses, only to see them consumed by flames. We must come together to support them in this difficult time.”

    The fire, which erupted has left a significant mark on the vibrant marketplace that serves as a lifeline for many residents and tourists alike. Shops that once bustled with life and laughter are now reduced to ashes, a stark reminder of the fragility of our cherished spaces.

    Shahzad emphasized the importance of community resilience, saying, “In times like these, we must remind ourselves of the strength we have when we unite. Let’s rally together to help those impacted by this tragedy – whether through donations, support, or simply being there for one another.”

    RAJOURI, FEB 09:-Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa chaired a comprehensive review meeting today with officials of the Rural Development Department (RDD) from Block Sunderbani, Seri, Kalakote, Soit, Nowshera, and Mougla. The meeting focused on expediting the implementation of key developmental projects under various government schemes.

    Dr. Thapa directed the concerned officers to expedite the survey for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) so that all eligible beneficiaries were provided housing benefits without unnecessary delays.

    The meeting reviewed the utilization of PRI, DDC, and BDC grants for augmentation of rural infrastructure and public amenities.

    Regarding MGNREGA, the ADDC stressed the need for prompt completion of ongoing works and urged officials to maintain transparency and efficiency in project execution.

    The meeting was attended by ADC Sunderbani, District Statistical & Evaluation Officer (DSEO), Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Executive Engineer PDD, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Junior Engineer (JEE), and other officers.

    RAJOURI, FEB 09:-On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, an awareness camp to promote the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana was today organized at PWD Dak Bungalow, Sunderbani, with the participation of various departments.

    The camp, held under the supervision of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa witnessed the presence of ADC Sunderbani, Rajeev Magotra; ACD Vijay Kumar Verma, along with other district and sectoral officers.

    The awareness camp aimed to educate the public about the benefits and implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which promotes the installation of rooftop solar panels to provide free electricity to households.

    The officials elaborated on the eligibility criteria, financial assistance, and procedural guidelines for availing the scheme.

    Beneficiaries were encouraged to take advantage of this initiative to reduce their electricity expenses and contribute to sustainable energy practices.

    The ADDC emphasized that the successful implementation of this scheme on the ground will be a revolutionary step towards achieving energy self-sufficiency and promoting renewable energy. He urged all stakeholders to actively participate in ensuring the scheme reaches its intended beneficiaries.

    The initiative aligns with the government’s vision of promoting renewable energy and ensuring affordable power access to all households.
