    GNS ONLINE NEWS PORTAL

RAJOURI JAN 22:-Senior PDP leader Mohammad Farooq Inqlabi today strongly criticized the political response to the Badhal tragedy, in which 17 lives were lost due to a mysterious disease in the Badhal area of Rajouri district. In a statement issued to the press, Farooq Inqlabi condemned the political leaders, including the local MLA, MP, and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, for their failure to take decisive action and save lives.

He said, “Politicians have turned this unfortunate tragedy into a tool for political gain, instead of focusing on the welfare of the people. The government failed to take urgent steps to address the situation, and this negligence cost 17 precious lives. There was a clear lack of action to shift patients to advanced medical facilities like AIIMS, where they could have received better treatment.”

Farooq Inqlabi further criticized the blame-game politics that followed the tragedy, stating, “While the situation continues to worsen in Badhal, no politician has come forward with a solution. Instead, they have engaged in petty blame games, further complicating the already dire situation.”

He also pointed out that the frequent visits by politicians to the affected area are not the solution to the crisis. “Political visits might offer momentary attention, but they do not provide any real solution to the ongoing problem. What the people of Badhal need is immediate medical intervention, proper treatment facilities, and long-term efforts to address the root cause of the tragedy,” he said.

He concluded by urging the government to prioritize the lives of the people of Badhal, ensuring immediate medical intervention and long-term solutions to prevent further loss of life. Inqlabi called for a thorough investigation into the mysterious disease and accountability from those in positions of power.
